To cross-train for BMX, Sinead began to train on road bicycles at the age of ten. She soon realized how much she enjoyed road cycling, so she then began to race on the road at the age of eleven. Sinead won her first road cycling national championship title at fourteen years old. As her cycling career progressed, she won numerous national titles and also was selected to compete at the Junior Road World Championships at ages 17 and 18. In 2008, Sinead placed eight at the Junior Road World Championships in Cape Town, South Africa. Also, she has experience racing for the U.S. Women's National Team throughout many different countries. These countries include Italy, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, South Africa, Netherlands, Belgium and Mexico. Sinead first experienced racing for the U.S. National Team at the young age of 18.
Today, Sinead races collegiality for Marian University's cycling team. Marian University is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and this is where Sinead attends school. During her freshman year of college, 2008–2009, Sinead won collegiate track national championships and also collegiate road criterium national championships. This was the first time in history that a female cyclist from Marian University won a collegiate road national championship.
Because of Miller's outstanding performance and final result in the omnium ranking at the collegiate road nationals in Fort Collins, Colorado in March 2009, she was named a "Collegiate All-Star" and selected for the all-collegiate-women's team that would compete in the Nature Valley Grand Prix later that season.
